Hi hii, yes I will look into the models as we talked in the other devlog!

1) I will try to look into skin settings, so far I used the basic skin textures that VaM offered!

2) Hmm, Will take your word for it! I only edited action themed stuff in the past, so thought of showing more angles with a moving camera would be a good idea.

3) Gonna take a  ,,learning and research" path to ph, and learn some positions for the camera, for the future animations!

4) Will probably have 2 or 3 angles based on the scene and animation. Different speeds, maybe if the scene describes in different positions too! Planning to get better in animation! Just have to learn and learn! Making them from scratch is a bit harder than is HS2 there were some pre-made animations, but before I answer the fifth point, the animation part (not the camera) was good? If you had to rate it, what would it get?

5) Hmmm I let VaM's lights take the lead on that, but maybe can find a setting to enable shadows to the characters meshes too. If not we will find a solution to that too!

Thank you for this review, it helped me to review how should I and other people in Profundum build up our scenes! Have a great day, and if you have any other thing to say or ask, don't be afraid to do it!

Love,

D6rk

1) Yea, sometimes the default stuff offered is a little lacking.

2) More angles are ok, but as a "director" you need to draw your players' attention to what you want them to focus on  and constant camera spinning is usually not a good idea except for rare situations ;-)

3) Sure you can just grab some professional porn on different positions for ahem... research, they are more or less the same because there are certain "industry best practices" for a good reason i.e. most viewers like them.

4a) LOL HS2 packaged animations is like a compendium of "what not to do" case studies - almost everything is wrong there and I suspect it is this way because the original HS2 assets had issues around the female genitalia. As a result it doesn't depict animations like fingering, thrusting, pussy eating well so most of their animations tend to adopt angles that defocus these deficiencies.

4b) I think animations wise it's good enough. Some purists will argue for high fps, but to me time is usually better spent on other areas of the game. The only thing I would emphasize which I cannot see from the sample is the looping part, just make sure it joins as seamlessly as possible because jarring is one of the top complaints for poorly done animations.

5) I'm sure there's a solution somewhere, you might wanna contact some developers who use VAM and see whether there are any insights.

Cheers and take care.

2) Yap Yap, now thinking about it, it would be way batter to just have 2 still angles than this. But I learned from it thanks to you!

4a) Yeah, I was struggling a bit with the animations in hs2. I picked it up in VaM MUUUUCH faster. The real time physics helps!

4b) Yeah the frame rate is a bit lower cause, I had VaM to Ultra, High real time physics, and a + plugin that adds a bit more visuals to the video. xd So will try to experiment on what can I turn off or down to have a better frame rate.

5) Yap I have dev friends bust mostly Illusion soft game devs, or DAZ, but I'm sure there are people who can help out in this case!

Hi D6rk

I think you're the first developer who says VAM is easier to learn than HS2... LOL but I guess that's a good thing. Frame rate is over-rated for normal action scenes, sex can only go so fast before it looks ridiculously unrealistic... I reckon a 20 - 30fps should be more than enough, I've seen some games boast of 60 fps animations and they make no perceivable difference.

Hey hiii,

I'm not saying it's easier for everyone. I used Daz,hs2 and blender before it. So it made it easier for me to learn VaM! But I'm still a greenhead when it comes to Plugins, clothing simulation etc. I learn as I go, now making the characters, and ticking out the task on our trello board! Hopefully can post the graphics update soon, but have to make the characters, mod in the environments, make the still and animated renders. The update will not only have the style change, but some other little treats.

Hope you have a great day, and thank you for this extended conversation!
