Breeding duplicate character is a feature of Para Ark 2. (I know it is not necessary, just wanna try something different.)
I don't understand what does "too much menuing" mean, too much wait time per animation? (You set animation duration or turn on auto proceed, check inventory -> key item tab.)
Also, do you recall which animation has misalign problem?
