I don't know what other people have told you, but they are just being mean.
Your project is wonderful and has a lot of potential. Besides, you're working on it alone, and you have a life to take care of too.
They just don't understand the dedication and love that you're putting into this story.
There's a saying here in my country that goes like: "He who can't reach the grape vine says that it is bitter". In other words, they can't make a project like the one you're doing, and so they make others (and you) think that it is not good.
So trust yourself and the people who saw the real value of your game/story, and make it blossom into a creation that will make them regret the day they insulted it.
Of course, it's up to you. But, remember that there is always many people out there who will enjoy this VN and it will have a special place in their hearts .
