yeah I've got the same problem, reinstalled and replayed the demo and I don't know if it actually updated, the step 1 moments still says "step 2 preview" for me ):
ok so you have you have to press download sync then you have to have a save right before the preview of step 2 so you should have a save in step one 1 at the end of the chapter 1 and then load that save and then when you get your character all dolled up it'll work then
