After re-read it I have different opinion on Jakob. Like the way he say such thing to Mylo, the way he seem so desperate for Mylo, the way he is hurt? disappoint? he even cried at Mylo's answer, it is just so genuine, man. I now truly believe Jakob is not as bad as person I think of him to be in the first few chapter, maybe he feels something for Mylo not truly love but at least it was something. Or in my other opinion he is just an insecure person who seek affection, like, I don't know what insecurity Jakob might has, but it look like he has one.
