Nice experiment! I liked that Peppino's locomotion is practically the same translated from 2D to 3D! Especially the wall jump, the back and forth skids AND especially THE FUCKING ESCAPES, THEY ARE AMAZING AND YOU REALLY FEEL THE ADENALINE RATE LIKE IN THE ORIGINAL GAME. Also the models and graphics look pretty nice and well animated.
There are also things that I didn't really like. Regarding locomotion, I find it quite uncomfortable to press the LCTRL while running or when I have to do a super jump, could this be done to have the option to keep the LSHIFT or do a toggle-like LSHIFT, or even a small grace time could be given between when the player releases the LSHIFT and presses the LCTRL. Also, Peppino doesn't stop bouncing when I'm going down a ramp. I think I know exactly why that happens because in my game I have the exact same problem, so... same feeling bro xd
Also, personally the skidding time is very long, peppino's intangibility is kind of short and the wall climbing speed doesn't seem to increase, I don't know if it was intentional.
About the level design, it's very good and I never felt disoriented or anything like that, I like the direction of making the levels more open. The only thing that didn't convince me is that it's harder to find the toppings, you could make indications or even a radar that tells you if you're near a topping or not... Otherwise great!
Something to highlight is that the time is too tight and Pizzaface is WAY TOO FAST, basically when the timer reaches 0 you're screwed. You could just lower the difficulty a bit.
Also something I didn't like is the change of scenes, I don't know if it was designed that way on purpose or it was due to technical limitations, but I feel that it breaks the character's momentum enormously.
Oh yeah, and my Xbox 360 controller didn't work :P
I actually found the game pretty difficult, I don't know if I'm just bad or something but HEY! I'm very intrigued and interested in the development of this game, keep it up and I hope my feedback helps =)
