I didn't expect to come across a mention of Russian formalists on the itch page of an obscure bitsy game :-) I wholeheartedly recommend Vladimir Propp's "Morphology of the Folktale" for some further entangling disentanglements of narrative structures... Keep on choochooing my man !i

I've already had contact with Propp's work, specifically with his book Historical Roots of the Wonder Tale (I mean, I'm not sure if this is the title in English), as well as other commentators on his work. It is indeed interesting. Thanks again for reminding me of "Morphology"!
