1. Hi there! What's your name? Want to introduce yourself?

Giant Gough is what I typically go by online.

2. Did you participate in the last jam we held? If so, what do you plan on doing better this time? If not, what's your reason for joining?

I did in I think 2016 or 2017.

3. What games are your favorites? Did any of them inspire you, or made you want to make your own?

The games I play the most are typically MMO's. FFXIV and WoW specifically.
The games that inspire me to make games are other games made by small teams. Moonlighter, Stardew Valley. Sometimes even phone games, even though I hate to play them, they're cool to see what people can do by themselves. Some examples being Tabi Kaeru and MinuteQuest.

4. Do you have experience with game development? What did you do/with what engine?

Just a little bit. Unity is the only engine I've ever gotten anything done with.

5. Tell us about something you're passionate about!

Besides the obvious answer, games, I'm trying to learn to sail. I'm enjoying that so far. I speak Japanese at roughly JLPT N2 level,  but I like to study that here and there. Trying to build productive hobbies this year. New year new me and all that.

6. What are your goals for this game jam?

Finish. I didn't finish last time and then after that I didn't touch Unity or Aseprite for about 2 years. I'm trying to make game dev a hobby and a habbit. I enjoy it, but it always feels overwhelming to start.

whoa sailing sounds like a pretty cool hobby! honestly i think all of those kinds of hobbies can def serve as unique experiences that could be cool ideas for games.
