Oh no! I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I downloaded the zip file for Mac again, unzipped it, and now my computer is saying that the application can't be opened. I can open the old version, but not the new one. When I open the old version, it still won't load of course.

There are sometimes issues running LCS on Macs because of changes Apple has made to be stricter about running unsigned apps - I don't have a Mac myself so that version is just provided as-is. An alternative would be running the windows version under Wine

Thank you so much for your help. Perebite's link below was a huge help too.

I ran into this issue too. i used this tutorial: https://superuser.com/questions/1345755/how-to-fix-the-application-cant-be-opene... the file you should use chmod +x on is in LCS.app/Contents/MacOS/LCS. Then in your Macs' privacy and security settings if you scroll down you should see LCS was not opened- make sure that you give permission, and it should open then

Hi Perebite, thank you so much for your help. I actually didn't have success with the Terminal - BUT one of the other comments in the tutorial you provided about Archive Utility breaking it seems to be the reason why. I used something else to unzip the file and now it's working. Thank you!!
