I'm not the greatest at art but I should be able to plow through it, it would be 2D, not pixel art

Sounds great! I'd be happy to look at the game as it develops and come up with some ideas of my own and of course if you have any ideas and or a certain direction that makes sense for the feel of the music, you let me know! 👾

I added a effect where I kept drawing it over a layer and its all scribbly like looking

Hey, some personal issues have come up so it may delay or slow down the work of the project, I'll still try, it just may not be as good as before.
