Thank you for the report! I haven't found this issue before. I'll check to see if I can help you out. Meanwhile, try doing the artifacts in a different order (collect all the tokapu parts then go to the places where you need to weave them).
A save state or a password system are indeed in the plans! But just a heads I won't be working on this project for next 4 to 6 months, due to another project.
