Heya! what do those bubbles above the kit's heads mean?

I think its meant to tell you what their names are? I mean I know that in one game called "Kit to Leader" you can have kits and name them and a bubble apears over their heads telling you what their name is
but... those are numbers in the bubble...
Numbers? What do you mean by that?
When my mouse hovers over my kits, it shows a number. Like 143 for example. I had two kits and they had two different numbers in their bubbles.
Huh... that's weird...
