I managed to figure out a way to make it a bit easier -- by double tapping the shift key, you can get stuck in focus mode and have an easier (albeit slower) experience.
thank you so much!! this helped me finally complete it! it was actually an overall faster experience since i didn't have to replay it over and over again LOL
