So, I've spent the past few days playing Terrene, frankly, the story is more compelling than I would have expected, each of the characters is unique and fun, though I wish we had a choice in James' fate, and if we give him the potion or not, because to be real, had I a choice in the matter I would have preferred to let him get what was coming to him before the protagonist intervened. The Goddess/Protagonist conflict that the prologue highlights is interesting, and I wonder if that will be explored more. Especially considering she is actively screwing with us by way of that one merchant, I found the fact that the player sees the merchant differently from everyone else hilarious. I am also convinced the spear that talks to the protagonist we encounter in Cecilia's story is another element of this, or of whoever saves the protagonist at the beginning of the game.
I am quite looking forward to seeing how the protagonist's Harem blows up in his face, given the conflict between Lily and Violet. Especially considering the outset of the conflict between them, and the fact the protagonist didn't even consider sitting everyone down and working out the problem then and there. I also hope that fact is going to have consequences, where if the player doesn't navigate their conflict correctly via dialogue choices, they make an ultimatum and the player has to choose between the two.
All in all, the story is fun, the scenes are fun, and I look forward to future updates! I wish I could afford to donate on Patreon, alas finances are tight.
