I've really been enjoying this game!! I'm playing a tinkerer with Magic2/Charisma2/Trading2 skills. My question is about the item I acquired from the laboratory called the Inventor's Eye: "When active, enables the use of the Study technique as if the wearer had Survival level 2." What does it mean by study technique? I haven't been able to figure out what this item does but it seems interesting.

"Study" is a battle command normally available through the Survival main skill. It lets you view the stats and descriptions of enemies that aren't in your Codex yet (enemies you haven't defeated before), and adds them to the Codex upon use. Inventor's Eye adds this command on Survival level 2, meaning it works on all enemies (Survival 1 doesn't let you study some of the more powerful creatures).
