Thanks for playing. It's funny, because the game was never intended to be scary, why do you think it was supposed to be? Horror is subjective friend, just because you find something normal, doesn't mean others will. Again, your opinion, but the game was never marketed as "scary".

Yes, the game is indeed horror genre and it is indeed creepy. If you don't find chopped up body and death of a dog at least creepy, I would say you might be desensitized with horror genre or you play games where the main mechanic is a jump scare or loud screaming noise. Again, nothing wrong with that but horror is very subjective and you can't simply define it as "scary". Just food for thought.
