I'm optimistic yet cautious about the idea of a remake.I believe it's totally possible, however it requires a lot of overhaul, and I don't know how big of a task it would be for you.
1) If you're going to add more complexity w/ the remake, and you're going to do it alone it would be easy for you to have a crowdfunding platform. This will help you get consistent funding, and potentially resources to help focus on creating the game with the ideas you have in mind (and can be a safety net when life gets in the way).
2) Do you have a road-map for the development for the remake? It would be helpful both to you and us if we're shown how you'd like to progress through the updates, & when you'd like them done by.
3) I personally would like to see more consistent updates especially for a remake like this (It could be every month or every two weeks depending on how complex you decide the game will be and your personal schedule). KD has so much potential to be an excellent game! Plus, so many of us want you to succeed in making this game!
