There's a couple parts (like at the aunt's house) where the mc is referred to as a man, even though I selected woman at the beginning. Was that intentional? Or just a bug

It's intentional, at the beginning when you are given the option to choose between man or woman, it is made clear that it is a decision that only influences the inner world or attitude of the MC (this been that each option has its traits to develop, man with HOPE(LESSNES) and women with UNCERTAINTY, in both options you can develop ACCEPTANCE towards this fact)
In this VN you don't play as yourself, you play as a character who already existed before you arrived to influence him.
Or as it said in-game:
"Every decision matters."
"Even those that go against the predetermined things before my manifestation in this world."
"Despite that, I cannot impose my will on everything."
