Played the intro mission yesterday with 2 veteran D&D players and one casual player on the tabletop using the premade samurai, dragonsoul, and dwarf spellslinger
The system is familiar enough to feel comfortable but has enough new things to be exciting and new. The ability to complete critical/combat encounters without reducing hp to 0 ads lots of new ways to approach combat. The world is very interesting with it's post apocalypse/modern/fantasy blend. The combat is fresh with it's larger zones rather than individual squares. The fond memories add an interesting way to reward OOC activities.
They also mentioned that art being fun and fresh with the monster art being standout great.
The escape scenario was fresh and drew all three players in with them looking over their skills and quirks to accomplish it.
Would love a printer-ready pdf so I can get a physical book printed. Also printer ready maps or some way to bring the books maps out to the table would help.
