Vulkan seems to work better and fixes the darkness with Good graphics quality.Currently you can choose the renderer only with a command line argument like below.
./Karlson_linux.x86_64 -force-vulkan
when I try doing this it pops up with the options window then when I click ok it says
"Set current directory to /home/itzscythe/karlson"
"Found path: /home/itzscythe/karlson/Karlson_linux.x86_64"
