hey i just got the pdf but many pages appear to be almost entirely unreadable, with a lot of text on white backgrounds simply not appearing. is there any way to fix this issue? the missing pages are 7, 8, 18, 19, 20, 21, 42-51, 81, 82, 119, 126, 128, 129, 130, and then it becomes very hard to track as page numbers simply stop appearing, but overall i'd estimate roughly a third of the book is unreadable for some reason. it's only text on white backgrounds, all of the missing pages still have the colored sections and anything written on them.

Edit: issue is fixed by opening in edge instead of chrome. this isn't totally ideal but at least i can read the book i bought lol and this may be an issue specific to me.

Hi Nadia! Thanks for flagging this and I’m glad you got it working! Yes, every once in a while I hear from and unlucky person whose PDF goes wacky in chrome. It’s puzzling! I’ve been looking into pdf compatibility to see what can be done.

alright: it was REALLY bugging me that i couldnt read the pdf normally so here's my batshit insane solution that probably doesn't help much since it destroys normal PDF functionality:

Download each individual page as a JPG, then convert that pile of JPGs back into a pdf. you can't highlight text or click on the table of contents anymore but it does become readable.

while looking for solutions i also saw a lot of things about weird fonts, overlay layers, and transparent text simply not appearing on chrome so I'd suggest looking at the text settings on the affected pages to see if there's any difference at all, cause it really could be literally anything.
