I've been working on a similar concept (not for the jam!) so I love it. But your game is too unforgiving from the start for me. I would suggest to allow collisions against the vertical walls and have larger holes at first, then reducing them progressively. Maybe still keep some large ones randomly from time to time to give the player a few seconds of rest and break the monotony. Maybe also play with hole shapes.

Tsted on Android, no problem except the virtual joystick is half out of the screen when set to the right (Oneplus 5, 1920x1080 screen)

And then…  Ads? Seriously?!? o_O
