I mean it's more like he forced himself to join the dirty side of the entertainment business for a long term connection or sth to support his career (could consider him as a victim of a power dynamic in workplace too) so that he can continue to be a star that MC would be so proud of, but he never did enjoy it. MC is the only one he feel safe (and also eager///) to touch and get touched, the guy disgusted everyone in this world but her. He actually tried to avoid getting touched by his co-actress in the party and also ask the director to cut off the kiss scene. I mean some ppl could consider it as physical cheating but I just personally saw that this psychopath doormat just want to do everything for MC with no care for any methods.
In the other hand, Chihiro cheated because of lust and selfish reasons.
well you just have a different definition of cheating, that is. To me, doing that and convincing himself that he did it for love was a form of mental drug to coddle his perception, which does not affect the state of reality that he has betrayed. the relationship was never opened, so if MC had known it they would have taken it as cheating.
Yeah, she would feel so betrayed but I just wanna point out the difference between Kei and Chihiro's action tho.
Like for Kei it's more like self destructive action since he was in Entertainment industry, so it easily got power dynamic there, like so many many real life idols who got to get physical payment for their position. Even tho he consent for them to use his body, it still not an actual consent tho. In his case, it's more sad than Chihiro's. The mc would feel bad that he did that behind her but at the same time feel pity for him.
I mean in Chihiro route, she knew the obvious cheating but still wanna be with him and said she dgaf about it. like GIRL
