I swear this might just be my crappy potato laptop, but I can't even boot up the game past the black loading screen with the little hollow white bar in the middle. Any advice for finding a solution? (besides getting a new computer and/or better optimizations)

It's a windows 10 Dell Laptop that'd be probably about 4-5 years old or so, well-maintained but quite low specs. It's got about the lowest amount of internal storage I've ever seen for a computer, which would be 52 GB. 😅
The types of games I can usually easily run on there would normally be RPG Maker games because of their low, non-demanding graphics and software.
One thing I should also mention is that the game freezes so hard to the point my entire windows process becomes "non-responsive" as my Bluetooth mouse no longer responds too, and I am required to use the little built-in touch pad mouse to close the game, and half the time it doesn't even close, so I am forced to manually Power down the device. 😓
