I'm glad that people seem to be enjoying it.
I'm definitely thinking of carrying on with it, but I think I will need to figure out a plan for making it something more. I will likely need to tidy up the code, fix any bugs already in the game (and any that arise from tidying up), add in the pieces I didn't have time to sort out in the jam, and then consider how I would like to grow the game further. I'm already thinking I would like to add in a story element that you can play through, but this would also mean new areas, new enemies and new items. The enemy AI and the combat system needs an overhaul, along with the Inventory and Crafting system. I had planned to introduce NPC's, so these would need a purpose, as well as AI, dialogue and maybe even quests. To keep the gameplay interesting there would need to be objectives to complete and possibly puzzles to solve or another way of maintaining engagement.
This is just the direction I would like to take it at the moment, there might be other directions I could take it and rather than making it more an RPG style game, I could possibly lean into the survival and crafting elements.
At the moment though, I just want to wait and see the feedback I get through the rest of the voting period, it might either narrow my thoughts or help me consider a different direction for it.
