This is normal. But if you have completely empty relationship indicator columns, perhaps the relationship can be improved.

It's that thing on the left side of the game screen that shows the characters' avatars and relationship level numbers that some players like to write in the comments instead of reading the characters' dialogue and using the game's built-in hints :-)
