I love the concept and the game, but there's a couple glaring issues, which is fine because it's still in such an early state
- Lots of bugs
- While cards are no longer huge and hover, equipment does the same thing in the customization screen
- Dialog will cut off and immediately play the next dialog
- Some abilities are only able to be activated once per turn (mostly happens after a stun, even if you succeed the stun coin flip)
- Character cards will occasionally get stuck to your cursor and not let you drop them
- Dropping character cards is really finicky and should be more responsive
- Using the mascot card while there is a mascot card in your discard pile has a chance to weirdly duplicate cards in your hand and remove other mascot cards that are in your hand. Then when you play the duplicated card, it puts the mascot card back in your hand, causing the duplicate to go into your discard pile, allowing you to repeat this cycle for as long as you pull more mascot cards
- Burning/hitting the same item of clothing too quickly causes the item of clothing to permanently shift its x position
- Art falls off here and there and feels lacking in effort
- Although the varying combat concepts are interesting, without the bugs, even with custom decks, hard mode on several characters becomes impossibly annoying. You do minimal damage, the girls can hit you for like 60 damage in a turn but without exploits you can only deal like 30, and they have significantly more health and seemingly better RNG
- The background music is very short and loops often
- Very long times in between significant updates
- Some of the effects that enemies do are just generally annoying, especially at higher difficulties and become unfun to play against. Poison from the mascot or burn from the magician for example just generally become unfun. I understand that crafting a deck for each specific girl seems to be the intent, but regardless having to heal yourself so often, remove burn, or prevent them from healing so often mitigates your ability to actually dish out damage
Regardless, I still love the game and the concept! Wish the devs all the best and I will be following along eagerly
