No. But the what appears to be happening is that when you buy the game, you do get the updates, you just have to wait longer. He releases the updates to his high-tier patrons first, then lower-tier patrons, then here. It's basically monetizing early access to updates. Honestly, I can accept that for a game under development, but it really should be communicated here clearly. If a game is being sold on a digital storefront, I shouldn't have to go to Patreon or anywhere else to figure out the terms of ownership and maintenance.
