Greetings! I had a few questions: I was playing my first game and pulled the Queen of Swords. As I was playing out the battles, I pulled the Knight of Swords. I immediately scrapped the Queen of Swords war and changed to the Knight of Swords war. During THAT war, I pulled the Paige of Swords. During that war, I EVADED DANGER.

1. When you go to war, can you be pulled out by another war?

2. If so, are you considered to have fled the first war and lose 1 glory?

3. Is the first war considered done or do you go back to it after the interrupting war?

4. Similarly, if you EVADE DANGER, does that end the action during which you got it or do you return to the action with your wounds or whatever punishment you received? (So, in the example above, would EVADE DANGER mean I fled the war? So I lose glory and the war actions are over? If I was in a contest where I was jousting and EVADED DANGER would that contest end and I would have to take a new action?)

Sorry for all the questions!

Hey! Just got back from a con, but here’s some brief answers:

1.) That wasn’t the intent in the design. I’d have ruled that you should finish the battle you are in and forgo any new ones.

2.) If you do decide to go with being pulled to a new war, I would position the narrative as being called by your liege to that, and there is no glory loss.

3.) If you do the interrupting, I’d say that the previous battle finishes off-screen.

4.) No, EVADE DANGER doesn’t end the sequence it takes place in (unless specifically noted or you elect it to be narratively appropriate). You return to the situation with the outcomes of EVADE DANGER and continue moving forward.

Thank you! All of that makes perfect sense!
