Hi, thanks for the comment and trying out my game demo! Yeah, I definitely concede that my game wears its inspirations heavily on its sleeves, but when the rest of the game is (hopefully) funded, it will go in more of its own distinct direction… at least according to my own assessment. As for the critiques on its sheer quality, well, that’s subjective so we may just have different tastes when it comes to those aspects. I at least agree with you on the music, as I literally learned how to make music months before starting demo content, so that should hopefully improve. Anyway, thanks for the comment and have a nice day!

Hey, thanks for the response. Re-reading my comment, I was way too harsh here, and I apologize for that. I tend to be extremely critical of everything, but all things considered this a much better game than I was giving it credit for, and I have actually recommended it to a friend in the time since. I would still recommend that you try to find a way to distinguish yourself more, but obviously you see the value in that anyway so no point beating the point to death.
You're a more talented writer (and artist!) than most people making indie games, so I think I was frustrated seeing that talent used for something that felt so familiar. But the familiar is presented with skill, and people will connect with it more than I did I think.
Wishing you all the best, I'll be here to play whatever you release.

Hey, no worries man, I don’t take the original comment personally at all. I’d rather people feel compelled to rip my game to shreds than it simply illicit no response in the first place, that’s the whole joy in art I think. I ultimately see that you wanted the best for it, even if that resulted in some harsh words. I’d take that any day over someone being dismissive at least. Anywho, thanks for the reply and have good one!
