Thank you so much for playing!!! I too teared up while writing and playtesting Vincent's story, as it's really tragic both inside the game and out of it♥
The full game is almost finished so I don’t think there are many more private moments with Ashton (hopefully you got to go through both his date locations♫)
Most of the backgrounds are actually real photos that I manipulated to look "cool", funny enough the ones with the swirls ARE real photos! (sourse:https://unsplash.com/s/photos/dungeon ) but there ARE a few made with ai when, at the time, it didn't bother me to use them. I wanted all the backgrounds to look "realistic" as opposed to my artstyle and it was near impossible to find specific photo-realistic backgrounds to match the ones I already had (I even attempted to go into random cafes to take pictures but I chickened out LOL). John and the “rabbits” is probably the most glaring AI image, and Ashton’s room too but I kind of like how messy it looks since it shouldn’t be there and should look like it was wrongly generated by an Ai.
But seriously thank you for the resources! I want to try to either make or source my backgrounds whenever I make a new game, and I truly have no idea where to look. I’d love to make a video or post about free resources that aspiring game makers can use.
About that “speed through glitch”, I know with RPG maker that you can speed things up by holding down the LEFT mouse button, Z, or SPACE. Also, it’s just a guess, but maybe the program starts to run slow and then speeds up to compensate? I’ve seen that with some other games out there but not with RPG Maker, but it’s likely. If there’s any more you can tell me about that, I would greatly appreciate it, can't have you all play a game that speeds through important stuff!
THANK YOU SO MUCH again for playing!! I’ve been so busy with my youtube channel that the PPB boy’s get a little left behind, but I HAVE finished scripting the whole game, I just have a bunch of art and CGs to draw. But this is probably the biggest game I’ve ever made and I’m so very proud of it!
