when I download it (and extract the files) it won't let me run the program, is there anything I'm missing?
What's your OS and GPU? And what exactly happens when you try to launch the program? For now, I suggest updating your graphics driver (rebooting afterwards) and making sure it's not your antivirus stopping the program from launching
