Oh actually you have a typo in the french one! It's supposed to be "... sommes jeunes, et je sais que" which just changes the "summer" in your translation to "and". Sooo I think it's actually a direct reference!
I copy and pasted it directly from the game so if it was a error then my bad! I'm not sure how thought. I translated it through google and copy and pasted from the little chef game
