go to settings, not the android settings but the chromebook ones

then after that you go to linux (Beta) and you should get linux through there

once you get it installed,open the "terminal"

after that put it on the lft side of the screen and put this on the right side of the screen

then yoou can easily follow the steps from the earlier comments!

There are also ways to update linux, just in case. 

type sudo apt update and things will start going brrr . when it stops moving it says things can be upgraded. Next type sudo apt upgrade and it will start going brrr again. When it says "would you like to continue, Y/N" (or something like that), type yes and this is the last time it will go brrr and when it stops moving, close the terminal and everything will be up to date.

how do you go to linux beta, because I'm searching it in settings and nothing seems to come up?
