Once I figured out that you can interact with objects obscured by player's inventory, this game became very fun to play. I love mix of programmer art and realistic photographs. I like tiled-based map slices on blueish background. Puzzles are fun to solve. I can't wait for 2nd part! :)

If I were you I would make inventory slightly transparent so you can interact with objects despite having opened backpack. Also, I think player doesn't have to interact with literally everything like UI frame, background, buttons. On the other hand, that system is prepared for easy expansion of the game. Very good entry!
