That still doesn't explain why my second attempt, using two leaves and a powder failed…

Ahhh okay I see. Another rule was transcribed incorrectly - it should be lowest acidity first when there is more than 1 of the same type of ingredient, but the book states it the other way round. Those three ingredients are correct however. Apologies, the 2 things to be made are randomly picked from a larger list and it seems you got the only one that uses this rule!

That explains a lot…

I also looked at the list of ingredients recently, and unless the ingredients have changed, my first attempt would've failed anyway, even if I put the liquid last and used goldenflower first, due to me misreading something as (leaf, 1, 2) [didn't exist in my recent read through]


But if what you say is true, that means only one ward exists. If do, I think you should add more, and adjust any rules that prevent adding additional wards. But that's just my opinion.
