Oh yikes! Sorry that happened. I haven't had anything like that happen but I also haven't run it on anything besides a really solid machine so I'll try it out on some other devices and see if I can prevent that happening for anyone else.
As for gameplay it's certainly not as finished as we had hoped but it should be playable. My guess is that you didn't change to one of the player views (it defaults to "both" mode) and so you weren't able to take any actions. There's a dropdown in the top left for picking but that will be changed in a future update to make it easier to use.

Okay, I see how to take player turns now; still not sure how it all plays out, but I am intrigued by the board game style elements of this, so good job capturing my interest despite my confusion! Also, unfortunately, playing in full screen did repeat the lockup issue for me when trying to exit from it; you may just want to make a note of that somewhere on the project page since it did cause me to have to entirely force restart my system both times.
Good call - I'll make a note on the page. I'm glad you're interested! Don't worry, we're very much still working on it - there's a tutorial in the works (current one is less than helpful :P ) and many UI enhancements that will help guide players. I don't know the best way to let you know when changes are made. I know that itch has some kind of devlog system that I've never used so maybe I'll try to use that?
