Nope! If two of you are playing, one of you is doing all the Knowing, while the other is portraying a Companion.
It’s made to play 1-on-1 over coffee at that scale! Sometimes we get carried away, but you can definitely play little 1-hour short stories that way.
OTOH, we’ve had whole campaigns with recurring characters where we swap back and forth between games whenever we feel like it.
