I've decided to use a standard format for all my feedback this time around. Please excuse me
if I come across as overly curt or miss something important about your game.
I'm writing these all quite hastily as there are a lot of games in the jam this
year and I want to get to all of them!
What I liked
The graphics and style remind me of early 90s point-and-click adventure games and the early-mid 2000s indie imitators.
I hadn't been expecting a narrative, and I was surprised when it came up! It's a masterpiece of minimalist storytelling- yes, it's short, and yes, it's sparse, but everything needed to tell the story is there.
In general it's a polished experience overall.
What I didn't like
The doctor/medicine path seemed a little weird and out of place.
Did I think it was so bad it was good?
No. This is a genuinely good game! It's short and simple but I struggle to find anything bad about it.
My thoughts on the modifier implementation
A narrative based on an "impossible" gambling streak. It's one of the most unique implementations I've seen in this jam, and the whole game is built around it.
Verdict
Not a So Bad It's Good game, but a legitimately nice little indie game.
