Congrats on your first game! With help from the music and visuals but also the floaty gameplay, this game feels very calming and chill :). Watching the shots float through space gives me the same vibes when I watch my satellites orbitting in Kerbal Space Program.
A couple suggestions, I was often trying to get as close as I could to hitting the target, but there didn't seem to be much effect for being that accurate. If someone hits like ten feet away (don't know actual distances but it felt large), I took the same damage as if I hit them square on. Might be interesting to take into account the distance from the hit in the damage. It also means you could turn a game around in the last shot or two if you hit dead on :O.
Also, I really enjoy watching the floating shot. What might be cool is like a super far distance mode where the power is exaggerated so you can still hit. Maybe some form of tracking so you can still see them and finer tuning of the parameters. But it'd be really cool to take a shot that so peacefully flies and smashes down right on target :P
