This concept is awesome! My highscore is 10 Gold and 7 iron. This has to be extended into a bigger game with more levels and upgrades like Speed or Damage. What I've noticed is that if you want to survive you can use barely any coal at the start and save it all for the big ending room because there are always enormous amounts of shadow creatures. But its an awesome concept!
