Hi Rusty, thank you for notifying me about this. Unfortunately I spent a little more time on the windows build due to the competition requirements, however I did list the SDL dependencies in the instructions so you can run the game.
Unfortunately this particular build is dynamically linked.
If you are using Ubuntu, you can install the following dependencies to get it working:
sudo apt install libsdl2-2.0 libsdl2-mixer-2.0-0 libsdl2-image-2.0-0
However, I definitely understand that these dependencies should have been distributed with the linux build.
