Interesting idea, but I don't think I like the execution of it. I know you wanted to make the player feel out of control by having all the power activate at the same time, but I felt more frustrated than overwhelmed or confused. There could of been other way to make them feel out of control, while not being frustrating I think. For example, collateral damage (killing innocent people with laser eye or damaging yourself somehow). Or random power activating on it's own (with a short warning).

I will say that you did good on level design and made good on tha premise though, so that is really appreciated. The artstyle is simple, but work perfectly and the music was a good fit.

Overall good job nonetheless !

Thanks for playing and for your feedback! We actually agree with your first point and wish we had a bit more time to flesh out some of the systems in ways just as you described. Killing innocents funny enough is something we talked about from the beginning but we ran out of time 😭 The random power activating on its own was also something we discussed but we decided against it as we didn't believe it would make for a fun platformer. For something like a top-down shooter we thought it would be more appropriate, but discussed taking control out of the players' hands could come up with varied results in a more physics-based game.

But we totally understand how the controls we made have felt frustrating, we've noticed that after watching some people play after releasing to the public. Thank you for your helpful feedback, these are definitely things we'll keep in mind for our next jam!
