Wait, do you have trouble speaking in Tagalog? Were you raised outside of the country? Just in case, I'll transate it for you-

"PS: Thank you for making me cry with this very beautiful story. Also, please don't tire yourself out, try to rest and treat yourself from time to time. Luv u for your work! I'll be keeping a close eye on this game hehe. Kudos! UwU"

(Also, I'm Filipino as well!)

I was raised... by the internet o3o

Also chinese schools, chinese schools ruined my childhood.

(1 edit)

Sounds really familiar hahaha. A lot of my classmates are, too. But yeah, keep up the good work, bruh. Rooting for you! ☺️☺️☺️

Sorry for not considering whether there's a language barrier huhu. Looking forward to more of your work 😉

Saaaaame

Ahhhh, that explains it. No worries, you'll get better at the language soon! Just gotta practice!

Thank you, Haidaaaa! I was supposedly gonna say "Proud to be 🇵🇭" but decided it would be a little cringey because the phrase has been abused too much by fellow Filipinos and ONLY when some foreign half-half carried our nationality. But yeah, thanks haha.

(No offense to half-Filipino people. You guys are great in my book.)

No problem, Ycarus! Also, that is soooo true! The fact that that exact line has been overused by others has made it sound sorta cringey and annoying. Especially about it being usually said when a foreigner who's half-Filipino becomes popular or is given recognition outside of the Philippines. No hate towards half-Filipinos though, they're cool, it's just the phrase that's annoying!

(Also, sorry for the late reply!)

It's okay! Haha. Pero yeah, that's the exact reason. They only own their right to being a Filipino when some random half-Filipino (and even full Filipino people, no hate to both) becomes prestigious in a foreign country. I mean, own it people even if they did something wrong. You should be proud to be a Filipino and at times accept it if we make mistakes. No nationality/culture is perfect. It's okay to feel ashamed sometimes.

(Idk if you can relate to my ranting ass haha)

Exactly! But unfortunately, I don't think that Filipinos will ever (atleast, not right now) realize that whoever they are praising or putting on top of a pedestal is just another person that has their own flaws and that they can make mistakes like any other person. Yes, they can still say "Proud to be Filipino!" as long as they can acknowledge that the person they are praising can and have made mistakes and that they are not perfect. Maybe one day our fellow Filipinos will learn but definitely not in the foreseeable future. We can still be hopeful though!

(It's fine, I completely understand and relate haha! Also, sorry for the wall of text-)

I'm really glad we see eye to eye on this topic haha. Nice talking to you.

So, I'm gonna be that guy who's going to end the convo because I know that deep inside we have the urge to reply, thinking that the other person might be expecting a reply haha. [I always get that urge 😅😅😅]

Nice meeting you, Haida! And monchimutt, keep up the good work! ❤️
