Forgot to mention that you'll need controller that Windows recognizes, like an Xbox or PS4 controller, or even a flight stick.
If you have one connected (and can be seen by Windows under "Control Panel, Devices and Printer, Set up USB game controllers", go to "Settings, Control" to map the controls.
As it's actually a flight sim, it works best with drone transmitters / controllers that can be recognized by Windows.
