I liked the glow and the speed of the movement of the character. I think more variety of enemies would be cool.
One point I would recommend (if wasn't your intention) is change the color of the after pixels when you shoot someone - the enemies turn black pixels and then red pixels. The red pixels hide the shoot of the second type of enemies, the red ones.
