Did you read the article at all? They LITERALLY explained why. The game is 2 years old and just recently blew up. Beta is way past and they never planned on it being this popular. They're capitalizing on their popularity now and that's bad how? That's business LOL.

They also said they feel it will be at least 6 months until beta - that snot how you cash grab & ride the internet's short lived hype wave

its deleted, what did it say?

Wtf are you talking about this game is amazing and in case you didn't read they said it would be harder to add more stuff then just make a new game. And by the way stuff like this takes money. So its not like everything they've ever wanted in that game is gonna be there right away.

That's why they waited for it to get popular. Because they literly had to. And that's also why there selling plushes and shirts. To help them make this new game. You really gotta keep an open mind and think. Or els your just gonna say stupid stuff like that.

I made an account on here just to comment on how stupid this comment is. The entire article explains why they're making a second one. Also, you don't know how difficult it is to make new content for games with small teams, low funding, etc. Secondly, they would be stupid to not cash in on the current popularity. They spent a while making this game and it's finally paying off so of course they're going to cash out on the time and effort they spent on making the game. That's how businesses work. Do youtubers sell merch when they have 0 subs? No that would be idiotic to make designs and start doing merch with a small fanbase. And your solution to the problem is so simplistic and insulting to any game creators like you think that just adding the title of beta automatically fixes all problems in adding new content or something. Game code can get screwed if one thing messes up and it could take forever to fix it and in doing that it's too expensive. It's like having a really old car with a bunch of damaged parts and you want to replace them to fix the car and make it better, but it would be too expensive to replace all the parts and at that point it would be much cheaper to just buy a completely new car.
