I think it's a pretty cool game and it's very fun to play against the AI. It took some time understanding what's exactly happening, and I wish there was a little more instructions telling what's going on.

For example, maybe it's just me being dumb, but I don't really know when I have to manually upgrade  my castle.

EDIT: I AM AN IDIOT. the game shows stars above the castle when you can edit your abilities. My fault, sorry about that game developer.

The game is pretty fast and I think a pop up would've been nice to tell me that I can upgrade stuff. I keep on running off, when I should be upgrading my castle. I'm also a little confused on how much health I have left, and I can't tell if the enemy base is about to die or my base about to die. And the health of a unit is pretty unknown. So some polish would be nice, especially since some audio cues to announce if something is happening would've been quality.

Otherwise the game is fast and fun, and I enjoy stream rolling the AI. I like how original the concept is and even with my complaints (which are honesty just nitpicks), capturing bases and attacking the enemy with my troops is addicting. I see more of a League of Legends than RTS here (minions summon occasionally to attack enemy base and controlling a hero that can be upgraded to become more powerful...), and it does feel satisfying capturing bases.  The game play loop of getting heroes to claim territory, dying, then coming back is  quite satisfying. Even if sometimes I have no idea why I won or lost.

So a solid game that just needs some polish, and I agree with all the other comments posted so far,

Thanks for the detailed feedback! I will try to address these things in a post jam version of the game.

Visuals when upgrading - Yeah, good point, I’m thinking of maybe adding some effect on the player or marker flashing marker in the base.

Health on units  - I think I will add a short healthbar on the just below units.

Health on castle - It’s a little crowded in the base, but maybe if I replace the middle castle part with a number and health meter that shows it’s current health.

Audio cues - I planned to add this, but couldn’t decide which sounds to play, If all sounds player it would be too much, so maybe just the things the player interact with. I’m going to give it a try

League of legend & RTS - Yeah, I didn’t plan the game to play like league of legend, but I guess both games take inspiration from RTS games and try to streamline the gameplay. I originally planned to have controls to decide with base enemies would go to, and which unit you would send, but I went for a more streamlined approach to reduce the number of buttons, so it could work with four players on one keyboard.

No idea why won or lost - I how this might be improved when base health is more visible. I will also try to add more effects when a base is destroyed and has low health.
