Damn. Super clean. A side-effect of the car's engine hum (coincidental or not) was that staying at top speed gave a nice droning  base note in the music's key... Hmm... interesting subliminal feedback telling the player to stay as close to the "harmonizing speed".... 

What was I saying? Oh, yeah. Anyway, potential music racing game (for you to make out of this nice framework that you've made for yourself!) aside, nice work! The sprites fit nicely and it feels quite cohesive overall.

Haha, yes! I was worried about bad harmonics when I added the engine sound. It reminds me of when I broke off the muffler of my first car and had to drive around with it for a while--I purposely drove to make my car in the same key of the music I was playing on the radio.

I like your idea on musicification of the game. Cheers!

Wow, that's a story! Now I'm actually seriously wondering what direction to take a musical racing game of that fashion...
