Since I'm a duck I had to play this game. I know exactly what happened to this duck, the same happened to me the first time a human gave me some bread.
But what I'd tell this little duck is to go easier on the amount of arrows, sometimes less is more. Also trees are not stopping the arrows, that would have been very helpful to me back then now that I think of it..
Anyway, congrats on your first game jam experience! is a nice game.
BTW, on the game I created I originally placed some light effects that were pretty, but really made the game too laggy for many people so I had to removed them. They are pretty but they don't make the game so if you are looking to improve the performance issues, I'd start from there ;)
